New hosting and Wordpress installation on my own server. No more wordpress.com (I hope), not that it was bad, I’m just into customizing it more than the .com account lets you. I got a good deal on hosting anyway, with a promo code from a podcast I listen to.

Does anyone know how to transfer my archived posts from a Wordpress directory that was backed up off my old server to my wordpress.com blog? If so I would really appreciate some help.
Edit: Forget it. I guess the posts and comments are stored in the database, which I have no backup of.
